SINR-based sufficient conditions for CMA desired-user-lock

چکیده
The constant modulus (CM) criterion has become popular in the design of blind linear estimators of sub-Gaussian i.i.d. processes transmitted through unknown linear channels in the presence of unknown additive interference. The existence of CM local minima, however, makes it difficult for CM-minimizing schemes to generate estimates of the desired source (as opposed to an interferer) in multiuser environments. In this paper, we present three sufficient conditions under which gradient descent (GD) minimization of CM cost will locally converge to an estimator of the desired source at a particular delay. The sufficient conditions are expressed in terms of statistical properties of the initial estimates, specifically, CM cost, kurtosis, and signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR).

متن کاملApplication of Non-Linear Functions at Distribution of Output SINR Gaussian Interference Channels
We have examined the convergence behavior of the LSCMA in some simple environments. Algorithms such as Multi¬ Target CMA, Multistage CMA, and Iterative Least Squares with Projection can be used for this purpose. The results presented here can form a basis for analysis of these multi-signal extraction techniques. Clearly, the variance and distribution of output SINR obtained with the LSCMA is al...
متن کاملCombination between CMA and On-Off Algorithms for Adaptive Array Antenna
During the last decade, an adaptive antenna has considerable received the interest for mobile communication systems. This is because it can increase the system capacity by reducing interference. To achieve the interference reduction, an adaptive algorithm is necessary. There are a number of the adaptive algorithms proposed to improve the signal-to-interference plus noise ratio (SINR) in such th...
متن کاملBlind asynchronous multiuser CDMA receivers for ISI channels using code-aided CMA
A code-aided constant modulus algorithm (CMA) based approach is presented for blind detection of asynchronous short-code DS-CDMA (direct sequence code division multiple access) signals in intersymbol interference (ISI)/multipath channels. Only the spreading code of the desired user is assumed to be known; its transmission delay may be unknown. A linear equalizer is designed by minimizing the Go...
